Caprese Stuffed Avocado

This week’s episode was all about gardening/farming games, so…I wanted to share a recipe that was related to things you grow in a garden (mostly anyway)…or things that come from a farm. I think I pretty much nailed it with this recipe! It’s kind of like a little portable garden (with cheese – but cheese is made from milk, and milk comes from cows; and cows live on farms!). So, this is an easy recipe! It takes about 10 minutes to prepare! So please…make it and take pictures and share it on social media! Tag us and let

Slaw & French Fry Dog (Dirty Franks style)

Every year when I go to Origins, I HAVE to go to Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace. It’s a MUST visit restaurant if you like hot dogs. DELISH! My favorite dog there has creamy coleslaw and french fries on it…yes it SOUNDS weird, but it is SO GOOD. A lot of their hot dog concoctions sound weird, but they are OH SO GOOD. Another great thing about this place? It’s open until 2 a.m. So you can play games until nice and late, and then go eat tasty hot dogs! When I’m not at Origins the rest of

Stone Soup

What is the most co-op food you can think of? (Well, I am sure there are a lot). For me, I thought about the story I was told when I was a kid called “Stone Soup.” It’s the story of hungry strangers who come to a village and convince all the people in the town to share a little bit of their food for a soup and then everyone in the town enjoys the soup together. So, it’s literally a co-op soup! So this is a recipe and isn’t exactly “stone soup,” because everyone you know isn’t bringing

Salisbury Steak TV Dinner

While I would probably never eat this, it fits really well into the theme of this week’s episode. Maybe you’re totally into this! Easy Stuffed Mushrooms

The theme of this episode was SUPPOSED to be about games we don’t understand…but it got away from us and ended up being some about that and some about games we don’t like but other people do. Of course, no one is right or wrong. It’s the same way with food! So I chose a recipe involving a food that is commonly liked and disliked by MANY people. MUSHROOMS! Ask any group of people and I promise you will almost always get a people who love them and people who hate them! I love them! Jared and my

Mom Soper’s Guacamole

Cinco de Mayo is coming up, and what better time is there to make some Guacamole? Well…personally, I think there isn’t a bad time to make guacamole as long as you can get some good, ripe avocados! I love avocado! This particular recipe is from my mother-in-law. It’s real is really easy to make and it’s great to serve on game night!  -Jondi As always, if you make this guacamole, post pictures! Let us know what you think! We want to hear from you on social media! Print Recipe Mom Soper's Guacamole Course Appetizer, Snack Servings Ingredients 2

Homemade Pizza Pockets

So this episode was about “Games on the Go,” and Jared joked that I should just do Hot Pockets for the recipe. Of course he meant the crappy freezer Hot Pockets that you put in the microwave – you know the ones, they are never fully cooked in the center. Yeah THOSE. Yuck. But, I decided it was still a fun idea. You can make homemade pizza pockets with crescent rolls, and they’re pretty good. I don’t know how “on the go” they are, though you can put them in a container and warm them up for lunch

April Fools Pizza Cake

So, this cake is actually pretty good (though I take off the fruit roll-up pepperoni because I’m not a big fan of fruit roll-ups). But, it’s pretty hilarious that it looks like a pizza. Since April Fools Day is coming up, I thought it would be fun to do a recipe that was kind of zany! So why not a cake that looks like something other than a cake, right? So…here it is! A Pizza Cake! (Plus my birthday was this week…so CAKE!) And you should totally make this cake and most definitely post pictures and show us!

How to Make an “Epic” Cheese Tray!

This week's episode was about dice games and I decided that it would be fun to do more of a "how to" instead of a recipe. I love cheese trays. They make great game night foods! An EPIC cheese tray has more than just cheese and crackers, It comes complete with a good variety of cheese, meat, a few different types of crackers and don't forget a good fig jam.

Death Cake (aka Nine Lives Cake)

This recipe was given to me by my friend Max Holliday. Looking at the recipe, Jared and I determined that it isn't REALLY a cake...but it does LOOK delicious and it is most definitely a dessert. Enjoy the nerdy (albeit dark) humor in the recipe, courtesy my friend Max. There aren't any precise measurements, because Max didn't provide them.
