Important topics from this week's episode: My Peppino is ready, What happened to Donkey Kong Jr. (Who Was Good at Math)?, and other amazing topics that aren't dexterity games!
Crossroads. It's Crossroads. Not Pathfinder. In this episode we talk about some of the games that were revealed or featured at the GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas. Crossroads mechanic. We also talk about the growing trend of board games being sold in big box stores, and unusual game nights.
Really guys, I want to say how sorry I am about this episode. The amount of hard work that goes into making art for games is just incredible, but sometimes we just don't like it.
There are just some games that only really work with larger crowds at parties. Some of them we never want to play ever again. Jared defines a party game as one with few rules, lots of laughs, and many players. Jondi defines a party game as one she can play while drinking.
One of my favorite phrases is "you never play a game correctly the first time." But 20 times? We have a recipe, we talk Kickstarters, and the Golden Geek Awards. We also issue some corrections, for the first of many, many, many, many times!
An introduction to who we are and what we're doing here. We talk about 10x10s, Ninja Turtles, poisoning horses, Star Trek/Gate, and mostly just blab about nonsense. But hey, Jared fights a sinus infection in this episode! Please don't sue us, Disney.
